Several weeks ago, I was contacted by a Safeway rep to try out Safeway’s Home Delivery. What a blessing!
As most of my friends and family know I’m currently pregnant with twins and I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. Lately, life has been a little crazy. I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant and everything is going very well, but carrying twins is pretty exhausting and everything seems to take a lot longer. This is a very different pregnancy then when I had my daughter.
Tonight, I made my decision to try out Safeway’s Home Delivery and see what it was all about. My delivery will occur tomorrow so I will include an update then.
This is what I learned:
1. Load digital coupons to your Safeway card at Safeway.com before you start to shop.
2. You won’t be able to use manufacture coupons per the Safeway.com FAQ site.
3. You will get all of the deals that Safeway offers in their ad. Study up on the ad.
4. I suggest shopping for the sale items, which is a perfect way to stock up.
5. It was easy to search for any item. This made it so much easier because I could pick out everything I wanted easily instead of walking the aisles trying to find them. Besides no standing in line!
6. Search for Codes to use when you check out. Share15 – is Free shipping on your first order and $15 off your purchase.
7. The minimum purchase is $50 after coupons and savings. Even though to me this is high, I definitely consider this a good way to stock up on cheap items.
For my time they gave me 2-$25 gift cards that I can use at my local Safeway. In addition, they gave me 6-$25 gift cards to give away to my readers. Gift cards currently can’t be used for Home delivery but can be used at the store.
Would you like to win 2 – $25 Safeway gift card? The gift card is also valid at Dominick´s, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Vons, and Genuardis!
I will select not just 1 but 3 winners! This giveaway ends on January 30, 2011!

I was compensated for my time and expense with 2 – $25 gift cards to use at my local Safeway but my opinion is my opinion.
I’ve considered using the service for Genuardi’s, but the inability to use coupons is a big turn-off, since I rarely shop without them now. Can’t understand why anyone who doesn’t use them wouldn’t want to try it, though; what a timesaver.
I haven’t used the delivery service yet, but have been thinking about it. Thanks for the opportunity!
I did use Von’s home delivery and was pleasantly surprised. The produce selected was top notch-better than what I’ve picked myself, even.
I have never used home delivery, but I would definitely consider it for particular circumstances (e.g. time crunches, when I’m home sick and my husband is on travel). Thanks for this giveaway chance!
just posted your link to some friends on fb as well!
I just subscribed to your FB page!
I’ve never tried the home delivery service and I’m not sure if I will anytime soon since I’m living alone. Once my fiance moves here from NZ and we get our lives started together, I might consider it 🙂

I haven’t tried home delivery because I like using coupons but if there was a good deal I would probably try it.

I’ve never used Safeway home delivery- I’d love to try, but it’s just not offered in my area. Closest area around that they deliver to is over 80 miles away.
I “liked” Redberry Deals on Facebook a long time ago!! What a great deal. If I had a family, I would definitely check out the home delivery option. So convenient!

I have never tried home delivery tho I have been tempted to do so with the nice free delivery and $$ off. Somehow tho seeing the items and picking them myself is strangely satisfying. Maybe I actually like to shop!

I’ve never tried the home delivery before, but I’ve considered it several times. As I’m nearing the end of my pregnancy, I can definitely see the benefits of not having to take a 1 year old out with me, dealing with parking, getting us both out of the van (those parking spaces keep getting tighter for me and my belly), shopping, and getting back home.
