I used my card for this transaction. I planned on going in and just getting the razor because the other store didn’t have it but then I lucked out and got a $2/10 CRT. I had to use it. I didn’t bring in my couponizer so I had to think creatively. This is what I came up with.
1 Gillette Fusion Gamer, Venus Embrace or Spa Breeze razor 1ct $7.99 EARN 4 ECBs Limit 1
-$4/1 Gillette Fusion Razor from the 2/8PG
-$2/1 Venus Embrace from the 2/8 PG
=FREE for Gillette Fusion after coupon and ECBs!
1 Gold Emblem Baked Snack Crackers (with “25% more” or regular size) $1.97, get $1 eb
1/4-2/14
limit 5 limit 10
1 CVS Children’s Chewable Aspirin 36ct $1.99 Earn 1.99 ECBs Limit 1
=FREE after ECBs!
Total 11.95
-$2/10 CRT
-$3 ECBs (I wanted to rollover)
-$4 Gillette Fusion Razor
Subtotal $2.95 + .15 tax + .05 tax = $3.15 GC
OOP= 0.00
ECB earned
4 ECB Gillette Razor
1 ECB CVS Crackers
1.99 Asprin
Cost 6.15 – ECB 6.99 = Profit 0.84
Thanks TheThriftyMama and IheartCVS
hey I just wanted to say it looks like your profit was even better than listed if my math is correct.
you have:
Cost 6.15 – ECB 6.99 = Profit 0.84
but I think your cost is $3.15 (as you show above) – 6.99 ecb =$3.84 profit
Thanks Janine for your comments!
You are correct. My profit would be $3.84 but I used a $3 ECB in my transaction. I try to consider the ECB as CASH rather than a coupon. That way you can see how CVS paid me to buy the products. Very cool! I will be better in the future about writing up my transactions. I see on hotcouponworld they are using another method to demo the calculation so I might look into that. A lot of people show their calculations differently.
