RiteAid Shopping Plan 6/7-6/13

Baby, Rite Aid, Uncategorized
This weekend I was super excited about the CVS pampers deal and frustrated because I had a $5/30 (expired 6/7) and do to family commitments I couldn't get to CVS to get it.  This morning I found out that the deal is off and CVS has taken it off the website.  Big disappointment.  It would have been nice to have gotten diapers for $2.99 or $3.99 a pack.  However, I came across some other opportunities. Per BabyCheapSkate: Pampers jumbos are $8.99 at Rite Aid. Print a coupon for $5 off $25 at RiteAid (.pdf). Buy three and use the manufacturer's coupon along with the $5/$25 and you'll have a stockupportunity! Per IheartRiteAid.com: AMO Complete Multi-Purpose Solution 12oz Up to $7.99 SCR #24 -$2 AMO Complete Multi-Purpose Solution 12 oz +…

MoneyWise Moms in the Washington Post

general, Newspapers, Uncategorized
It always feels good when you read an article in any paper or watch the news on any channel, and hear about something that you are familiar with.  I've been a fan of MoneyWiseMoms.com for several months and it is great because she is local in the Northern Virginia area.  I'm not the only one! The same mind-set has helped turn consignment sales into a main topic of conversation during Gina Lincicum's moms club meetings. Loathe to attend events with paid tickets, they alert one another to free family outings. E-mail chains now share cheap crockpot recipes for summer. So many people have asked Lincicum for her homemade pizza recipe -- as much as $20 cheaper than delivery -- that she posted it on her blog, Moneywise Mom... Click HERE…

Frugal Bloggers Rule

Coupons, general, Uncategorized
Here is an interesting article in the Associate Press this week about the Old Navy coupons and Frugal Mom blogs. I'm impressed that both the press and industries are finally noticing the blogs and frugal saving Moms like us.    I'm hoping this will mean more coupons will appear either online or in the newspapers.  They have to notice that coupon usage and attention to coupons like Old Navy weekly coupons is so popular.  I'm telling my friends about it everyday.  More people I know who would normally NOT use a coupon are interested now. Stores, brands tap into power of frugal bloggers By ANNE D'INNOCENZIO Here are some interesting highlights: When Melissa Garcia was frustrated by Old Navy's scanty coupon offerings, she didn't just complain to the store. She vented…

Where to find Coupons?

Coupons, Magazines, Newspapers, Uncategorized
On the side bar of my website you can print coupons from Coupons.com.  Super Easy! Click HERE to go to Coupons Inc. for Brick coupons.  You will have to download software in order to print these. In previous posts I've mentioned that Washington Post doesn't include the Red Plum inserts anymore. So, where do you find them? 1. Red Plum is now being sent in the mail via their mail flier. Check your mailbox. I usually get mine on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. 2. Ask your family and friends for their Red Plum inserts that they get in the mail. I'm surprised at how many people are happy to help! 3. Check some of your local newspapers. I look at all of the local newspapers no matter where I travel.…

How to Make a Swim Diaper?

Baby, Sewing, Uncategorized
I've been thinking about for the last month.  Can I make a swim diaper for my daughter?  I love to sew but haven't had much time recently.  Now, that I have a project on my mind I have to find some time to do it.  But, first I need a pattern.  After searching and searching online I finally found a pattern. Thanks to Kayla's Cloth Kits there is a .pdf file that you can download and plus her website has a video you can watch here!

Shopping Trip – Shoppers – 5/31/09

Shoppers, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
I went to Shoppers on 5/31/09 and got some great deals! A couple things to mention beware you CAN'T use IP coupons over a $1.00 including $1.50 because Shoppers won't accept them.  It is against their policy to accept a coupon above $1.00. The cashier wouldn't accept them and the manager agreed.  This was in Mananas, VA. I bought 4 PopTarts for $2.50 each and 4 Frosted Shredded Wheat for $2.50 each. I also bought a Kelloggs Raisin Bran for $2.50 Total $22.50. I used 2 -2/$1.00 PopTarts expired today 5/31. $5/20 (Kelloggs coupon from the Shoppers ad) Used the $1.00 coupon from the Washington Post bag (back in March?). Total: $11.50 $1.28 a box  not too bad I also bought a couple other things too.   Great shopping trip saved…

Boater’s World Going Out of Business Sale

Freebies, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Look at this stuff!   Boater's World is going out of business and this was the last day.  My husband had been stopping by for the last couple of weeks buying things when he saw them.  One of the things that he saw that caught his attention was the SodaStream makers.  We bought the first one at around $50 normally over $100.  Then after showing it to others he went back and got a couple more for prices at $40 - $20.  Then today when he stopped it they were down to $9!  He already has friends and family that want them. To name a few. He also found some great deals on antennas ($2-$5 a piece),  GPS covers ($2), Metal Filter ($12), Hitches ($2-$4) and Brackets ($.75).   A lot…

Giant Shopping Trip 5/29/09

Coupons, Giant, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Ok did it!  I completed a pretty good shopping trip at Giant. OOP $56.57.  Not to bad. However, it got lower... I did have a problem using the X/XX Bloom coupon because you have to have a cashier enter it in or the customer service and this is usually something you want to use first.  I got back $10.25 for that coupon + tax!  Yeah, I was surprised that I got tax back too. Then the Cat machine didn't print out my $2 for the Deer Park water deal.  I got $2.00 back for that. Last, I didn't get back my $.05 for each bag.  The manager was wonderful in refunding me all of these things and he said there was a way to do this at self checkout.  I…
