I'm so silly!  I love good deals.  I was so excited about Finish Electrosol being on sale this week that I had to run out early this morning to try and get it. Staples Shopping Trip 8/2/2009

I decided to go into Staples today to get the paper deal that I mentioned before.  Click HERE to read my earlier post. Unfortunately, my Staples doesn't accept competitors coupons like Office Depot.  Big Bummer!   Click HERE to see a forum post about this and more about Office Depot at fatwallet.com. The FW MODs can verify this with Staples corporate: 1. Staples never had an official policy on their site or anywhere else stating they would accept all Office Depot coupons. This week's staples ad has a coupon for $10 gift card when you spend $50!  However, you can also use a $10 off a $50 purchase from Office Depot. Check out their website to sign up to get coupons!  I even got a $15 off a $50 purchase! Both Staples and Office Depot will take each others coupons! Update: This is up to your manager (YMMV) (Your Manager May Vary) because my Staples will NOT accept competitors coupons. Here is a suggestion if you really need a lot of paper! CVS Deals next week 8/2-8/8

Great deals at CVS this coming week! There is a $4/$20 and $5/$30 coupon sent via email.  Make sure you call the 1-800 number on the back of your Extra Care Card and request to receive emails.  They will even send you a coupon shortly after you call.  It is well worth it!  Check out my post HERE explaining CVS savings. Update: Red Plum Coupons in Washington Post

Well, I haven't confirmed 100% but it looks like as of last weekend (7/26/09) that Washington Post will be carrying the Red Plum coupons again.  I didn't get the Red Plum coupons in my Red Plum mailer on Monday, 7/27/09. Per my earlier post, click HERE to read it, I mentioned the Red Plum web site that allows you to search your location to find the Red Plum coupons.  This morning on my way to work I found the Washington El Tiempo Latino newsstand (Note this is FREE!) and to my excitement it has the Red Plum coupons!  It looked different then the ones from Sunday's paper and I looked at the date and it is for this weekend (8/2/09)!  Woohoo! How do you do your laundry? Do you do it all at once? Do you take your time and a do a load once a day?  Leave me a comment with your thoughts. I've had this problem for sometime now. Since I work full-time, I rush around the house in the morning to get the baby, husband and myself out the door. I sometimes throw in a load of laundry into the washer and take a load out of the dryer and put it into a basket for later folding or hanging. Where to get the”Sunday Double Deal” of the Washington Post?

About 10 months ago, I saw some bloggers post and show pictures of a Double Deal on their local newspaper.  Instead of buying 1 at $1.50, you buy 2 at a discount - 2 for $2.   I've been looking ever since to find these magical deals of newspapers for the my local newspaper the Washington post and finally I found one at my local Giant.   I don't go to my Giant every week so I knew I wouldn't always get it but when I do I would always check.    I recently posted on Slickdeals.net about the Red Plum appearing back in the Washington Post and made the comment about the Sunday Double deal. Reminder starting tomorrow! Virginia is one of the states that offers a Sales Tax Holiday for the first weekend in August.  That is a 5% discount! For those that don’t have kids or have little tots, this holiday is a great time to buy items like underwear, socks, t-shirts, and sneakers.  It is also a good time to buy craft supplies for the younger kids like paint, paper, and markers.  Start thinking about Christmas gifts!
