The Cost of Diapers 2010 – March Update

Baby, Coupons, CVS, Rite Aid, Uncategorized, Walmart
Wow!  I haven't bought many diapers this month.    I'm definitely keeping my eye out for more deals. After adding in my diaper purchases for February and March here is what I’ve spent so far on diapers this year.  I will be getting additional rebates for the Rite Aid Pampers and will subtract that when I get it. I got my rebate check from Caregivers Market Place- $12.50!   Not bad for saving my receipts for Huggies diapers and a few other products then at the end of the year I filled out the rebate form.   I will add that $12.50 back into the cost of diapers for this year, since I didn’t include that in my calculations last year. Harris Teeter Shopping Trip – Triple Coupon event – 3/25/10

Harris Teeter, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
I'm excited to say that I stopped at Harris Teeter this morning. A word to the wise, not all stores carry the same products. My store didn't carry the pasta which I was looking forward to getting. Make sure you read and follow the coupon policy as best you can. When I checked out the cashier told me that you can ONLY use 2 or 3 Internet coupons but said that she has heard otherwise from customer service and the wording in the coupon policy isn't well worded.  She accepted all of my Internet coupons.  Here is the confusing wording. Internet Coupons: We gladly accept internet manufacturer’s coupons for product; however no “free” product internet coupons are accepted. With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet…

Friend’s Trip to Giant on 03/22/10 – Saved 76%

Giant, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Wow!  My friend Ruth sent me her picture and transaction totals for her first coupon trip with multiple transactions!  She even  rolled over the $10 General Mills Catalina deal each time and did all of this with her 2 little girls.  I'm impressed! Since she is new to collecting her coupon inserts she didn't have all of the coupons available to  her.  She used the internet coupons and the  "Spring Savings" book.  She mentioned that some of the coupons beeped and the cashier pushed them through and it took about 15 minutes to check out.  She went early when the store was quite. Great Job Ruth! Transaction #1: Total before savings: $20.50 Total after sales prices & coupons: $9.93 Transaction #2: Total before savings: $21.16 Total after sales prices &…

Giant Shopping Trip – 3/19/10 – saved 63%

Coupons, Giant, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
This weekend was a super busy weekend for my family.  I had those $5 and $3 catalina coupons from last week's Giant trip that was to expire on 3/20/10, so I ran in Giant at 8:00 AM with my daughter (she drove the red car cart) and was able to do the General Mills catalina deal.  MoneyWiseMoms has a great post about it HERE. I spent out of pocket $12.72 and got a $10 catalina to use on my next purchase. This is what it all means to save. If you haven't gone yet here is some good news to make this deal even sweeter!  My friend Ruth mentioned as a comment that there is a new booklet of coupons at Giant available at the customer service desk called "Spring…
