CVS Shopping Trip 11/22/2009

CVS, Shopping deals, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Cost = $8.98 Thanks to the fact I got a $5/$30 coupon in my email and a FREE green tag coupon, this turned out to be a pretty good trip.  This isn't the best diaper deal that I've come across.  Still I didn't pay much! I used a Gift Card that I had from last years cold and illness season. This is what I did: When you Buy $20 get $5 ECBs on any Huggies jumbo excluding overnights and large pack of Huggies wipes $6.99 Limit 1 2 - Huggies Stay & Dry $18.99 Used 1 -$2.00 IP Huggies Coupon Used 1 -$1.50 Huggies Coupon 10-25-09 SS  (Check your insert since some have $1.00 and some have $1.50) 1 - Huggies Wipes $6.99 Used -$.50/1 Huggies wipes 10-25-09 SS 2…

Babies R Us Rewards Night 10/28/09

Babies R Us, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Sorry for not posting this sooner.  Time sure does fly when you are a busy full time working Mom.  I have so many posts I want to write about and I try to post as much as I can but I forget or just get too busy. Way back when I posted about the Babies R Us rewards night.  Click HERE to see the post.  I actually had the opportunity to go!  I was hoping to find some really good deals.  It seemed that several people were talking about it online.   But, was it worth it?   I didn't see much on clearance and I didn't see any other special deals. This is what I got.   Tell me what do you think? 3 - All Purpose 7th Generation Cleaner for…

Shoppers Food Shopping Trip 11/15/09

Shoppers, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
My plan was to stop at Shoppers to pick up some double deal newspapers.  Unfortunately, they didn't have any.  I then picked up an extra Washington Post for $1.50.  I was hoping they would be on discount but apparently they don't discount them anymore. Since I was there and I had my $15 worth of catalina coupons from my previous trip with me and I thought I would get some basics for Thanksgiving coming up.  We seem to have plenty of food for the next week or so.  See my post about my husband's Aldi trip HERE. I took the opportunity to look for some good deals without using coupons!  Then I made the decision to spend $15 and get Mr. Tom Turkey too.  Shoppers Marvel Turkeys are $.38 lb…

Understanding Being Frugal – Aldi Shopping Trip 11/11/09

Aldi, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
My dear wonderful husband went to Aldi last week for me. I asked him to pick up a gallon of milk and to check on the cost of butter.  During the holiday season butter usually goes on sale and my price point is under $2 (4 sticks 1lb).   He said no problem will be happy to do that.  I wanted at least 4 lbs if it is under $2. I got home later that evening to discover that he bought milk for $2.29, 4 lbs of butter for $1.69 each,  and lots of other things!  I was happy that he found some good deals like 10 bottles of Winking Owl wine for $2.99 each.  We will enjoy that.  And, he picked up some snacks for lunches but at the end…

Shoppers Food Shopping Trip 11/7/2009

Food, Shoppers, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Wow!  I did it.  I went to Shoppers this evening.  I can't believe it is 8:33 PM as I start writing this.  I treated the family to Ci-Ci's pizza for dinner.  What a treat!  I know it is high calories but it sure is good.  Afterward, the three of us went to Shoppers.  My hubby is a trooper so is my little girl. I'm definitely not a pro like MoneyWiseMoms, Redemption Unlimited Girls and FrugalFriends!  They know exactly what they are doing. Now a couple things I learned!  Going with my family was good because it was a family affair but it did take longer then I expected.   As I always say, make sure you have a game plan before going.   I was so excited that I could get to Shoppers…

Harris Teeter Triple Coupon Shopping Trip 10/5/2009

Harris Teeter, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Here is my quick stop at Harris Teeter today.  However, it turned eventful.  Here are a couple tips! 1.  Check the signs in the store for the dates of the deals. I mistakenly bought Prego large jars thinking it was B1G1 they were $3.99 after going to customer service they refunded me $3.99 + tax.  Which turned out to be a good deal after all.  I'm not sure if this will happen at all customer service desks, so be aware. 2. Make sure the cashier checks out all of your items. Just as I was talking to the customer service manager about my Prego mistake the gentleman behind me in line appeared at the customer service desk and asked to be refunded for whole wheat pasta, which was mine.  Since…

JCPenny Outlet Shopping Trips 10/11/09 and 10/16/09

JCPenny, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
JCPenny Catalog Outlet JCPenny Outlet locations are located HERE.   I love this outlet because it a true outlet! Last weekend I went to look for some nice draperies for our bedroom.  I'm still impressed with my find.  Even though I do like to sew I would not be able to make these for this price.   $12.99 a panel normally $80 a panel.  I got all 6 panels for $81.84!   I saved 83%. They have products at great prices and several times a year they will send out 25% off the entire store coupons!   Some of the coupons are limited on what you can buy but most of the time it is everything including clearance items.  This week we got one so I went today and got the following: After discounts:…

Cost: $6.76 OOP: $21.25  RCB: $14.49 I did 2 transactions at Rite Aid and I tried to use the 20% coupon savings but it didn't work since everything was on sale of course! I had planned to do the Zyrtec deal but they were out of the eyedrops.  I asked the manager about it and she was very nice about writing me a raincheck and included the $8 coupon price--eyedrops and Zyrtec 30ct.   I then became creative and bought the following. 1 Transaction 1 Sam Goody Black Elastic 50 count 75% off clearance $1.24 1 Sam Goody Chunk Jaw 2 Piece 75% off clearance $0.99 I just found out that this goes towards RCB #102 towards $1.00 rebate when you buy 2.
