Walmart Shopping Trip 8/22/09

Today, we went to Walmart.  We haven't been there in a long time.  Since I've been using coupons and watching deals at other locations I haven't been to Walmart much.   We didn't spend much time, since we had to go to Shoppers too. I've been wearing contact lenses for a long time.  Thinking about it, I've been wearing them for 16 years!  That's a long time.  Besides contacts are expensive.  I've spent a lot on contacts when you add it up.  This year I found a great deal for contacts.   If you have a Health Savings Plan (HSP) or Federal Spending Account (FSA) make sure you use that to save even more. CVS Deals 8/16-8/22

Great deals at CVS this coming week! Note:  I have some updates below. There is a $5/$25 and $5/$30 coupon sent via email.  I stopped at CVS this evening (didn't buy anything because I didn't have my coupons with me. Silly me!)  I got a $7/$49 coupon when I scanned my Extra Card Card at the Red Coupon/Price Machine!  That is a new one!  Check out more coupons that will print out HERE.  Always scan your card BEFORE you shop! Make sure you call the 1-800 number on the back of your Extra Care Card and request to receive emails.  They will even send you a coupon shortly after you call.  It is well worth it!  Check out my post HERE explaining CVS savings. CVS Deals next week 8/9-8/15

There are a couple deals at CVS this coming.   I haven't heard if there are any coupons being emailed out.  Always scan your card at the Red Price Scanner for your CRTs (Cash Register Tape) coupons!  You never know if you will get a coupon. That reminds me, my free gifts (that printed on the receipt) will be expiring soon so I will have to go to the store to pick them up! Virginia – August 7, 8, 9 is Sales Tax Holiday

Reminder starting tomorrow! Virginia is one of the states that offers a Sales Tax Holiday for the first weekend in August.  That is a 5% discount! For those that don't have kids or have little tots, this holiday is a great time to buy items like underwear, socks, t-shirts, and sneakers.  It is also a good time to buy craft supplies for the younger kids like paint, paper, and markers.  Start thinking about Christmas gifts! The best part I found out is diapers, baby items and even wedding dresses ($100 or less) are included!! See list below. This week's staples ad has a coupon for $10 gift card when you spend $50!  However, you can also use a $10 off a $50 purchase from Office Depot. Check out their website to sign up to get coupons!  I even got a $15 off a $50 purchase! Both Staples and Office Depot will take each others coupons!
