I'm planning on going to CVS as well as Walgreens tomorrow.  At CVS I need to pick up a prescription so it makes sense to run and do a deal while I'm at it. Washington Post – It’s official NO Red Plum coupons

This is a follow up to my post from the other day.   I wanted to mention that this morning I had the bad news of looking at my ad section and only receiving the Smart Source section.  No Red Plum to be found. I didn't get the Red Plum coupons in my mailbox.  The Red Plum ad in my mailbox said "$35 worth of coupons inside" and they weren't there.  It looks like they fell out.   So far my Mom and Mother-in-law (who look out for coupons for me) haven't seen it either.  I don't think this idea of advertising is going to work for Red Plum.  I can see their idea of putting coupons in people's mailboxes would give others opportunity to receive coupons, however, if they are in…

Washington Post – No Red Plum Coupons?!

Well, the truth is out!  "If you don't get it ...you don't get it." Washington post is one of the large newspapers that won't carry the Red Plum coupons anymore. As of February 1st 2009, RedPlum coupon inserts have been discontinued in many newspapers throughout major US cities. Instead of distributing these coupon inserts in the Sunday paper, Valassis has begun mailing the RedPlum coupon inserts to home addresses. Thanks to Thrifty Mama and Hot Coupon World.  These are the deals I tried to get today.  I will list my receipts later.  Have to work on other things now. Cherry Extra Strength 12 oz. is ringing up $3.65 (do a price check at the scanner) -$2/1 Printable HERE or coupons from the 1/4 inserts There is a monthly deal that earns you 3 Extra Bucks when you buy any Mylanta.  Limit 5 =FREE + $1.35 overage after coupons and ECBs. I didn't find the $3.65 at my CVS.  It still isn't a bad deal if you get it for $5.99. For Christmas I asked for the Couponizer.  My dear husband didn't understand that you have to buy it online.  He looked at the bookstores trying to find it.  After Christmas he mentioned that he couldn't find it. Last week, I ordered it and here is my experience with it so far.  It is a very neat system! I opened it up and it came together with a How-To book, scissors, plastic carry bag and the Couponizer book. 1.  I'm impressed at how organized it is.    It has a pocket for the bonus cards.  This makes it so handy!
