Washington Post – No Red Plum Coupons?!

Well, the truth is out!  "If you don't get it ...you don't get it." Washington post is one of the large newspapers that won't carry the Red Plum coupons anymore. As of February 1st 2009, RedPlum coupon inserts have been discontinued in many newspapers throughout major US cities. Instead of distributing these coupon inserts in the Sunday paper, Valassis has begun mailing the RedPlum coupon inserts to home addresses. Mint.com – free personal financial tracking!

Since it's the beginning of the year its that time again to start getting taxes ready and organize my financial information. I used to be a big fan of Quicken and Money but both programs have limitations and require a lot of work in my opinion.  I usually would have to spend 1 to 3 hours a month to add all of the account information and figure out my financial situation.  In addition, I prefer not to pay $30 to $60 for software that I didn't think really helped me much.  So, I did some research a couple weeks ago and I discovered Mint.com. Ok, so I found the Neutrogena deal on a couple sites and had to run to CVS this afternoon on my way home to get it.  One of my CVS's on my way home from work is great because not many people get the deals there.  I was able to do both deals on each card. Thanks to Thrifty Mama and Hot Coupon World.  These are the deals I tried to get today.  I will list my receipts later.  Have to work on other things now. Cherry Extra Strength 12 oz. is ringing up $3.65 (do a price check at the scanner) -$2/1 Printable HERE or coupons from the 1/4 inserts There is a monthly deal that earns you 3 Extra Bucks when you buy any Mylanta.  Limit 5 =FREE + $1.35 overage after coupons and ECBs. I didn't find the $3.65 at my CVS.  It still isn't a bad deal if you get it for $5.99. I've been away for a while because everyone in my family seems to have gotten sick.  My husband and I got the stomach flu and it was horrible.  I don't wish that on anyone.   Remember to wash your hands all of the time! I went to CVS to pick up a prescription for my daughter.  She has an ear infection.  I got a $25 gift card with a new or transfer prescription coupon that I got at the Red coupon machine from my Nana's card!  I have over $130 in gift cards.  (Because of all of the prescriptions I've had to be on in the last couple of weeks.)  Several of the stores in my area like Safeway, and Giant have coupons in their ad for $25 to $30 gift…

For Christmas I asked for the Couponizer.  My dear husband didn't understand that you have to buy it online.  He looked at the bookstores trying to find it.  After Christmas he mentioned that he couldn't find it. Last week, I ordered it and here is my experience with it so far.  It is a very neat system! I opened it up and it came together with a How-To book, scissors, plastic carry bag and the Couponizer book. 1.  I'm impressed at how organized it is.    It has a pocket for the bonus cards.  This makes it so handy!
