Friend’s Trip to Ulta 4/15/10

Shopping Trips, Ulta, Uncategorized
My girlfriend went to Ulta and confirmed with the manager that you can "stack" the Ulta coupons with the manufacture coupons.  That is great news! This is what she got: Remember, all “final” per item prices are even lower, once the Ulta coupon is deducted.  Honestly, I almost bought enough to use 2 of the coupons, since my total was $16! (2) maybelline great lash mascara $4.99 each marked down to $2.99 - (2) $1/1 Qs = $1.99 ea (2) Maybelline Pure makeup foundation $4.99 each marked down to $1.49 ea Revlon Creme lip gloss $9.99 marked down to $2.99 ea Maybelline Instant Age Rewind $7.99 marked down to $2.39 ea Almay Pure Blends lipgloss  $7.99 marked down to $2.39 - $1/1 Q = $1.39 ea total before discounts =…

Ulta Deals Cheap Make-up Expire 4/17/10

Shopping deals, Ulta, Uncategorized
I really like Ulta, but I haven't shopped there in a long time.  I've been so good!  I like the fact that you can buy both drugstore brand products and high end department store products all in one store. Taking a closer look at my Sunday paper's ad this week, I noticed that there is a $3.50 off a $10 purchase at Ulta that you can use online or in-store.  Based on some research I've done it seems from others that you can "stack" manufacture coupons with these Ulta coupons!    Now, I haven't confirmed this yet but it seems that it should work.  Let me know if this works or if anyone has a coupon policy confirming this.  Thanks! In this week's ad ends 4/17/10: All cosmetics from Maybelline, Revlon,…

Gardening 2010 – The Box, the Dirt, and the Seeds

DIY, Gardening 2010, Uncategorized
Last Saturday we put together "The Dirt" for my Square Foot Garden.   See my first post HERE. My hubby created the box a couple weekends ago.  He decided to use pre-treated wood for this project.  There is some controversy of using it because of the chemicals that are used such as extra copper so its up to you if you want to use it. It will last for many years which is a big benefit.  See more information HERE from Home Depot which is where we purchased it. Seed Starter Kit at Home Depot: $15.98 Strongly suggest stopping at Walmart and picking some up.  I saw them discounted down to $6!  I might pick up 2 for next year just to have the peat moss starters.  Not a bad price.…

Zyrtec deals at Rite Aid

Rite Aid, Shopping Plans, Shopping Trips, Uncategorized
Before I crash into bed.  It's been a long day.  It's been a long week for that matter.  There are so many posts that I want to write about but so little time.   I can't wait to chat about gardening and what we did last weekend.  Plus, today I got my library book about "Square Foot Gardening"! The other day my co-worker brought in for me the Rite Aid ad.  I don't usually get it in my Washington Post coupon section so I always check some of the other blogger sites that I like to visit to see about some of the good deals.  The ad this week had some great deals including these "triple coupons", which I had never seen before.   My store was out of them the first…

Going to Disney World on a Budget

Kids, Travel, Uncategorized
My family went on a week long vacation to Florida in January, which was a great get away.  Of course, when we got back we had to deal with February record snow falls.  Who would have guessed? January is a the best time to go because there are no lines and the hotels are very cheap. I mentioned in some earlier posts that we went to Disney on a vacation but with a toddler we knew she wouldn't be up to going to parks and we didn't want to spend that much.   We went on a fairly frugal vacation. A couple things we did: 1.  FREE - Downtown Disney - Downtown Disney is free for everyone.  It is like an out door mall.   There are a lot of shops and…
