Gardening 2010: Planting
I've planted all of my squares. The green beans are doing really well. See them in the upper right hand corner. I've had to replant the tomatoes because something is getting in the garden and moving them. The green beans, squash and zucchini plants were planted directly in the garden and are doing really well as I hoped. The cucumber, tomatoes, cilantro and basil (too cool to plant) aren't hardy with the strange temperatures we have had. Some days it is hot and other days it is cold. I've planted: lettuce tomatoes carrots squash spaghetti squash zucchini cucumber green beans peppers cilantro basil oregano onions I'll be planting in pots to sit around the garden that deer and other animals don't like. mint - since it takes over I'm not…
Shoppers Trip 05/08/10 and CVS Trip 05/08/10
I can't believe it is Wednesday already the weekend went by so fast. I'd been trying to get these pictures downloaded so I could show off my shopping trips and now I can. Back when they had the Shopper's Promotion I was trying to decide when I should use the 2 $5 catalinas. This weekend was when they were to expire so on Saturday I went in and got all of this after using the catalinas it came to under $3! Not bad. We had a funny picnic on Sunday in the garage eating salad. Will be making salads tomorrow night. I'm excited to say that I got to do the Nivea deal more than once. This is my favorite body wash. Walmart Deals – Babyganics, Discount Baby clothes and White Towels
On Mother's Day I went to CVS and Walmart with the family. We got errands done and after nap-time we had a great time at the park. I hadn't heard of Babyganics before and I noticed it on this shelf at my Walmart for $5 and I confirmed that the Stain Stain Go Away is $5 and the All Purpose Cleaner is $3.50 PLUS they come with a Buy One Get One For FREE coupon on the bottle expires 12/31/10. So in two transactions I did 2 Stain Stain Go Away for $5 (that is $2.50 each) and 2 All Purpose clean for $3.50 (that is $1.25 each). Not a bad price for organic cleaners! Sunday Newspaper 5/9/10 is only the Smart Source insert
Quick mention that this week the Sunday papers like the Washington Post will only carry the Smart Source insert. Not to worry the Red Plum will be back next week. Check out my 2010 Insert Schedule for details. A couple times a year Smart Source and Red Plum won't publish an issue and usually it is on holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July and Christmas.
